Welcome to the Nominations page, the first crucial step in the 2025 AFSSOSA National Executive Council (NEC) Bye-Elections! This is your opportunity to step forward and offer your leadership, skills, and vision to serve our esteemed association.

The Nomination stage is where eligible and passionate AFSSOSA members formally declare their interest in contesting for various leadership positions within the NEC. It's a foundational phase designed to identify qualified individuals committed to advancing the goals and welfare of AFSSOSA.

Open Roles within the National Executive Council (NEC):

The following positions are open for nominations in the 2025 AFSSOSA NEC Bye-Elections: (1) Assistant General Secretary; (2) Treasurer; and (3) Assistant Whip. 

Nomination Form Fees:

A non-refundable fee is required for the purchase of each Nomination Form, as approved by the Electoral Committee, to cover administrative costs associated with the election process. The fees are as follows:

• Assistant General Secretary - NGN 30,000

• Treasurer - NGN 30,000

• Public Relations Officer - NGN 30,000

• Assistant Whip - NGN 30,000

All payments for Nomination Forms must be made via direct bank transfer to the official AFSSOSA account. Please ensure you include your Full Name and the Position you are nominating for in the payment description/narration.

Evidence of Payment & Form Submission:

Upon successful payment, you are required to upload a clear and legible copy of your payment receipt/proof of transfer into the designated slot in the next section. This is a mandatory step and serves as evidence of your nomination form purchase. Your nomination will not be considered complete for the candidates screening exercise without a verified payment receipt and confirmation of receipt of funds. For those indicating their interest in the ex-officio roles, kindly upload a blank document (or an image file) where you are asked to upload evidence of payment.

Important Information for the Nomination Process:

• Eligibility: All nominees must be verified financial members of AFSSOSA, in good standing, as per the AFSSOSA Constitution and the criteria set by the Electoral Committee. Further details on eligibility criteria are available in the election guidelines.

• Constitutional Adherence: By submitting this form, you affirm your understanding and commitment to abide by the AFSSOSA Constitution (2023 amended version) and all electoral guidelines issued by the EC.

• Accuracy of Information: All information provided in this form must be accurate and verifiable. Misrepresentation may lead to disqualification.

• Submission Deadline: Please ensure this form, along with all required attachments (including your payment receipt and any other requested documents), is submitted by the stipulated deadline: November 9, 2025 by 12 noon. Late submissions will not be accepted.

• Screening: All nominated candidates will undergo a screening process as outlined in the election guidelines.
